We are pleased to offer you a unique and convenient gift solution: A box of hand crafted wine! LIOCO (pronounced lee-oko) is a collaboration between Matt Licklider, a seasoned wine import specialist and Kevin O'Connor, wine director at the esteemed Spago-Beverly Hills. We share the belief that great wine is made in the vineyard. So first we source fruit from some of California’s premier vineyards. Then we simply shepherd the grapes from bud to bottle in the least intrusive way possible. The pedigree of these wines has gained us entry into some of California’s finest eating establishments: (SF) Gary Danko, Michael Mina, Boulevard, Nopa, Myth, Coi, Delfina and (LA) Spago, Sona, Grace, Wilshire Restaurant, Campanile, AOC, Lucques, Melisse, Providence, and Patina.
Three gift box options are available. All include the following components: 2 or 3 limited bottlings from our winery + detailed tasting notes on each wine + current LIOCO newsletter + a personalized gift card. Quoted pricing includes tax and shipping: California - UPS Ground (2nd day). Outside of California - FED EX Air (2nd day). Note: As the sale of wine in the U.S is highly regulated, we cannot ship to every state.

PINOTS ONLY - 3 bottles of our current Pinot Noir releases. $175 2006 Pinot Noir “Michaud” – This wine embodies our philosophy. There is no denying its provenance. There are sour red cherries soaking in a spicy brew—something with cloves and nutmeg and cinnamon sticks. And there is that stone-y minerality, evident in all the wines from this noble site.
2006 Pinot Noir “Hirsch” – The 2006 bumper crop in David Hirsch’s vineyard provided a once-in-ten-year opportunity to get some of this highly allocated, internationally celebrated Pinot Noir. The seductive Mount Eden clone hits octaves so high, you wonder how such an elixir came from humble grapes. It’s as though a liqueur was made from rose petals and red raspberries.
2006 Pinot Noir “Klindt” – A darker, more brooding wine than both the Michaud and Hirsch. The fruit quality is noir-- black raspberries and boysenberries. These are not cooked berries, but the fresh, sweet-and-sour variety that make your mouth water.
PREMIER CRU – The next level. $115 2006 Chardonnay “Stuhlmuller” – The 06 Stuhlmuller is a much different animal than last year. We made a lot less wine, but increased the amplitude. The hallmark characteristics of this vineyard are here--lemon pith, candied ginger, Asian pear, chalk--but they seem to be delivered with more clarity.

2006 “Indica” – A unique “field blend” of 60-year old Carignan (87%) and Petite Sirah (13%). It comes from one of California’s last remaining Carignan vineyards. Get ready for Morello Cherries, violets, and spice box aromas, with plenty of crushed red and blue fruits to round out those grainy tannins.
GRAND CRU – Our very finest cuvees. $160 2006 Chardonnay “Durell” – A Herculean effort from a challenging year in Sonoma Valley/Carneros. The wine smells like the pits of white peaches, fresh key lime, and crushed chalk. The flavors mirror the aroma somewhat—more stone fruits, citrus peel, and something reminiscent of sun-baked, wild herbs.
2006 Chardonnay “Charles Heintz” – The rich, amber color suggests the use of oak barrels (none were used). The exotic perfume calls to mind night blooming jasmine, ginger, and lemon blossoms, with bass-tones of raw honey and wet slate. A vibrant acidity cuts the honeycomb, candied ginger, and orange marmalade flavors.

CELLAR DOOR – An introduction to LIOCO. $65 2006 Chardonnay “Stuhlmuller” – The 06 Stuhlmuller is a much different animal than last year. We made a lot less wine, but increased the amplitude.
